Will the fastest receive any award?

No. Oviratlon is a non-competitive event, therefore the time you run through the course and overcome the obstacles is not important. It is essential that you face and overcome the challenges you come across and show who you really are, someone who is ready to help another person, gives him a smile, and offers him a hand in overcoming obstacles. This is what we are looking for, and we know that you are the ones.

Oviratlon is more than a competition – it is a personal challenge. Anyone who conquers the course and its obstacles is the winner.

Must all the team members get into the finish arena at the same time?

It is not necessary that all the team members get into the finish arena at the same time. However, remember that the purpose of Oviratlon is  cooperation, encouragement, help and a homogeneous team. Therefore, we know that you will not leave anyone alone on the course and that you will cross the finish line hand in hand.

In which categories can I attend the Oviratlon?

You can participate in Oviratlon in two categories, i.e.:

  • in a team: a company of friends, work colleagues can make up their own team, come up with an original name and head straight for the obstacles, or

Good cause
What amount of the entry fee in intended for donation?

We will take 1 euro from each entry fee for the Oviratlon Obstacle Challenge.

Who is the donation for?

The donation of Oviratlon Obstacle Challenge will be dedicated to mobility impaired children undergoing rehabilitation at the University Rehabilitation Institute of the Republic of Slovenia – Soča.

Why donate a part of the entry fee?

To overcome Oviratlon successfully, you need both physical and mental ability, as well as will. Unfortunately, there are people among us who for various reasons face with various obstacles in their lives. They must invest much more effort to overcome common, simple everyday obstacles. In this situation children are in particularly vulnerable, which is why our help is intended for them.

The organisers decided to give 1 euro from each paid entry fee for Oviratlon Obstacle Challenge to mobility impaired children undergoing rehabilitation at the University Rehabilitation Institute of the Republic of Slovenia – Soča.

Equipment
What to wear?

Above all we recommend clothes you will not be sorry if they get torn or dirty to such an extent that even the best powders lose their battle with stains.

For Oviratlon Obstacle Challenge it suffices to wear running shoes, casual T-shirt and shorts. Outfits should be similar to classic running. If you do not want to get your hands dirty, take the gloves.

The clothes of course also depend on the weather, so choose them according to the weather forecast.

Compulsory equipment consists of spare clothes and footwear. It is almost indispensable to bring a big towel. And a bag, where to put your wet and muddy clothes upon arriving into the finish arena.

Let us remind you that Oviratlon is meant to have fun. And a part of the fun is also clothing. As with the selection of your team names, we will also – in regard to your clothes, Oviratlon outfit, appreciate your creativity, originality, and ultimately freakiness – the team, dressed most originally, will be awarded.

Parking
Will the parking space be ensured?

Parking places will be available. Parking facilities are in the immediate vicinity of the start-finish arena of our challenge.

Cloakroom
Is there a cloakroom or a designated place where we can leave our belongings (clothes, rucksack etc.) at the venue?

On the Oviratlon Obstacle Challenge there will be a designated place where you can leave your belongings.

More detailed instructions on where to leave your belongings will be published before an individual event. However, we strongly recommend you not to leave any valuables in the cloakroom. The organiser is not responsible for a potential loss of your belongings.

Getting your start numbers
Is a start number obligatory?

Yes. A start number confirms that you are on the list of registered participants, so that you have also paid the entry fee. Those without a start number will be disqualified from the route by our technical services and/or wardens.

When will it be possible to pick up your start numbers?

The schedule, i.e. opening time, when to pick up your start numbers is published along with an individual event.

Where to get my start number?

You get your start number on the day of the event at the registration desk in the central start-finish arena.

Start
What is the start like?

The start will be implemented in waves; a wave in after every 10 minutes.

How do I know when, i.e. at what wave and what time to start?

A few days before each event we will publish the start list, from which it will be clear when you start (in which wave and the hour of your scheduled start time).

Can I change the start time, i.e. the wave when I am supposed to start?

The programme of an individual event is determined in advance and this will cause us a lot of problems.

On the course
Can I go past an obstacle on the course?

You can skip the obstacle, but we would like to emphasize that the purpose of the challenge such as Oviratlon is to test yourself and to try and do your best. Don’t forget that your friends or other participants are willing to help you to defeat an obstacle together.

What if I get hurt on the obstacle?

Despite minimal chances to get hurt, we know that misfortune never rests. Therefore, first aid medical service will be provided.
